Alyse's 3rd Grade Program

Alyse had her 3rd Grade Music Presentation on Tuesday April 12th. Her class showed off all the the essential music learning that they mastered. They sang several songs, however I will only post the favorites. I apologize for the unsteady hand, but Aydan and Keathan weren't always so cooperative. And I also dont' have an actual video camera. This is just my picture camera recording.

The Loco Motion. Alyse was the most energetic and theatrical kid out there. She sure has moves! "Music should either move your feet or move your heart"

Family Tree. My favorite song, especially Dad from Tennessee... My videoing isnt the best since Aydan and Keathan kept pulling on me. Sorry.

Supercalifragilisticexpialidocious. Aydan's FAVORITE!

Joy to the World. Alyse's Favorite Song.

New Rain Boots!

The boys love to play outside, and would wear their snowboots and come back with SOAKING wet feet. They absolutely LOVE the froggy boots....if you couldn't tell!

Alyse's Spring Picture Day

We ALL got the Stomache Flu!

It was MISERABLE! I have never had all 4 kids throwing up at the same time. Alyse was the 1st to get it and was terribly upset that she was going to miss the Grandparents Breakfast the next morning. Aydan was next, followed almost immediately by Keathan. I'm sure Rich and I were a sight. One dumping buckets, one scrubbing the floor, one chasing Keathan with a bucket. As hard as I tried, I couldn't fight the germs. I was ill by the next afternoon. I joined the kids in the "Sick Room"

Blizzard March 22-23

A big winter Blizzard closed much of Minot and ND on Tuesday and Wednesday (not Minot Lumber tho!). The kids were let out of school at 1:30 and had a snow day on Wednesday. We only got 8 of the 16 inches that was predicted. The kids had fun in the fresh snow again!

Grandpa came over with his snowblower and helped clean our driveway. Aydan was very curious. (Note: if you look behind my dad, you can see that our crazy awful neighbors snowblow their lawn starting at 7:30am. They are lawn fanatics...and they hate us. Seriously, they tell us whenever they see us)

Happy St. Patricks Day!

Alyse's visit to the dentist

Alyse had a couple cavities filled and I snuck in the room to get a picture..this is what I got...a Thumbs Up! The happy gas must really work!

Every room at Dakota Kids Dentistry has a different theme. She was in the Rainforest room. Keathan has been in the Underwater room and Aydan was in the SuperHero room! Dakota Kids Dentistry goes above and beyond to make kids feel comfortable. They make the dentist a fun place! Did I mention they have video games galore there too?! Super fun for kids and parents!

All Done.
For being super star patients, they usual get a grab bag of toothbrushes/paste/floss. We can't forget the stickers and the 10 tickets to Space Aliens!
Alyse will always have the Bieber Fever.

Now the next time we went to the dentist....it wasn't so pleasant. More like a nightmare. Fist Fighting boys, scream-crying Ada, "Little" people the size of Aydan (thank GOD he didn't make any comments..you could see him thinking tho), drugged up Alyse, and Keathan waving around feminine hygiene products like swords. Story of my Life.

Enjoy the Spring Orchestra Concert!!

MHS Annual Chuck Full of Music (I participated in this event all through school as well!)

Julia had Chuck Full of Music on Tuesday March 15th. It was located at Minot High School and students in the music programs from grades 7-12 performed at different times. They had a sloppy joe dinner and a silent auction as well. Julia had sold tickets to the event but unfortunately didn't sell enough to earn cash for her fund. (Each Music student has their own account that accummulates money, usually from fund raising. The money she earns or puts in her account will go towards either International Music Camp or towards the DisneyWorld trip that the groups take every other year. For example, she will go to Florida when she is either a Senior or Junior, depending on what year the groups go. She could actually go each year if the orchestra and the Choir are on different years. I will have to find that out...that's 2 Disneyworld trips...yikes!) But as I was saying, she didn't sell enough tickets to earn extra money, however she did get a $50 music scholarship from Pinkerton's Animal Hospital!! A big thank you to Louis Pinkerton!

The best song. It is a song from Pirates of the Caribbean. (which is why they are all dressed as Pirates) called Skull and Crossbones. It was so awesome that it gave us all goosebumps! They are such a talented group of 7th and 8th Graders!

March is Snow Fun. (not really..it can melt anyday now...please!!)

On days that it is above 30+ degrees, the kids go play in the snow. They really like it and I like them getting rid of cooped up energy from being in the house ALL winter. This has been the 3rd year of really rotten winters. And the snow keeps coming. Boo!!

Alyse pushed Julia..and then points and Laughs. Hmm, who does that sound like JANNA!!!

Keathan was SCREAMING in the sled. Julia thought it would be fun to push him down the hill...well she didn't take into consideration how light he is and how slippery the bottom of his sled is. He ZOOMED down the side and went right into the street. He now screams whenever he sees a sled.

A message from Aydan to Family near and far.

L E G O S who doesn't love legos?!?

March 13th. Daylight Savings time might I add. Alyse and Aydan sang This Little Light of Mine in church. Alyse is in the back row and Aydan is the head peeking out between the 2 boys in the front row.

Jim Hill Pride!

Wacky day...and boy was she wackier than usual!

She was actually doing the "She's a Maniac..Maniac on the Floor" from Flashdance. I constantly tease her about her headbands and knee high socks. Haha. What a good Sport!

Sports Day. Go Titans Go! Purple and Gold Day + Rich
