Blizzard Warning!!

So it starts! We had the first snowfall yesterday, but it was SOO windy. We had hurricane force winds of up to 70 mph. Once the rain turned to snow, it wasn't pretty.

We woke up to a winter wonderland this morning! We got about 6 inches of snow overnight, and its still super windy. But was school closed? or anything else?? NO!!

In preparation for this winter storm...I washed all of our wintergear. Good thing, since Alyse used EVERYTHING today. See, it makes sense to buy snowboots in September since I'm sure the stores are sold out of our sizes today!

She has a love/hate relationship with snow. Usually it's love...she even got out the sled yesterday! I dont mind snow either, I think it's rather pretty...however, the negative temps we have in January and February...that we HATE!!!

Ahh, I can almost hear Jingle Bells in the background, and see the twinkling of Christmas lights. How I love the holidays!! I have to make it through Halloween 1st!

Julia and Caitlyn

Julia is a Princess of Thieves...or without the hat, a German Girl. Caitlyn is Cleopatra. They had an activity at my moms library so they got into their costumes and had a great time!

Best Friends! And they only live 2 houses apart. Caitlyn is usually always at our house, or they are at the Y together.

Apple Picking

Alyse had a good time picking apples at Grandma's house. Once again, I was banned from getting in the tree (since in 2002 I fell out of the tree and almost broke my ankle and was on crutches)

Everyone had a good time. The weather was BEAUTIFUL!! There were TONS of apples to pick. Good thing my kids love apples!

Dress Up Days for Alyse

They had western day at Alyse's school since the Rodeo was in town. This happens to be Alyse's favorite outfit now. We have to tell her to take her plaid shirt off everyday. That and her Justin Bieber shirt.

Are you tough enough to wear Pink!!? It's a breast cancer awareness campaign. Alyse has LOTS of pink and we all wore pink to show our support! We love our Aunts Donna and Doreen! You are wonderful, strong women! You can overcome any obstacle! If God brings you to it, He will bring you through it!!! Hugs and Kisses! xxx ooo

Daycare kiddos!

Here are my 5 crazy kiddos!! Leia (3) Kailyn (7mo) Aydan (4) Ada (2mo) Keathan (2)

Kailyn is usually such a sweetie, but she is in a Hold me all of the time phase. And since I have 4 others to take care of, I can't hold her all day long. She is usually pretty sad the majority of the day.

Leia Beth! She loves coming here to play with the boys. She is my BIG helper and will do ANYTHING for a piece of candy!!!

Ada is smiling now. It's so cute! Keathan still loves to hold her!

7th Grade Volleyball

Julia played Volleyball for Jim Hill. She really likes it! The group picture will come later!

She has such a good sense of humor!

We can really make each other laugh! She is such a wonderful girl! I would TOTALLY be friends with her! Haha

Minot State University's Homecoming

This is my kind of parade. 45 minutes..marching bands..candy..horses..and a few firetrucks. The kids LOVED the parade. The ND State Fair parade is TOO long, like 4 hours too long. This is short and sweet and it's all local! Afterwards we went up to the tailgating party on the campus. We had burgers, kids played games and bounced in bouncehouses, and Julia got tattoos and green hair. We didn't stay for the football game, but Aydan really wanted to.

Julia saw some of her friends in the Jim Hill Marching Band.

GreenThumb Greenhouse Pumpkin Patch

We thought we would try the local pumpkin patch, rather than Papa's Pumpkin Patch in Bismarck. The best way to describe it is a county fair vs. Disneyworld. Needless to say, the following Sunday we drove to Papa's.

It was a very warm day and bees were everywhere! Ever since Keathan was stung by a bee in my car, he panics at any flying object and starts screaming and running franticly. I had so many bees on my purse strap that I had to kick my purse in order to pick it up. Now add Keathan's screaming to the mix and it isn't enjoyable. Not to mention that I too HATE bees. From the overpriced admission, the kids wearing shorts and getting scratched by the hay, the long line waiting for the kinda train ride, to getting lost in the corn maze for 45 minutes with lost people trying to help other lost people (the corn maze was GREAT for older teenagers, parents with little kids who all of the sudden HAVE to go to the bathroom and it's a 95 degree sauna...not so much fun! Poor Julia had to carry Aydan who's 45 pounds on her back most of the time)..... the highlight of the trip was actually getting out of the corn maze through the entrance and buying 4 dollar waters.

On a positive note....I did get a few good pictures!!

It was so hot that everyone's faces were BEET RED! I miss the fall pumpkin patch with cute sweaters and fall coats.
